digital acceptance and notification letters
effective august 16, 2017, ref will begin emailing a digital copy (in pdf format) of acceptance letters for offering plans, amendments, cooperative policy statements, and no-action letters to the submitting attorney. likewise, ref will begin emailing a digital copy of notification letters for new offering plans to the submitting attorney. the digital letters will include a signature in scripted typeface in lieu of a wet signature; ref has informed the new york city department of finance (“dof”) of these changes and dof has advised ref that it will accept digital letters with scripted typeface signatures. if dof or another government agency refuses to accept ref’s digital letters, please contact ref immediately so that we can resolve the issue.
please note that ref will cease mailing paper copies of the various acceptance and notification letters, effective august 16, 2017. if you require a paper copy of an acceptance or notification letter, please contact ref and we will issue a paper copy of the letter where warranted.
to facilitate this process, ref has updated its notice of appearance form to include a field for the submitting attorney’s email address. submitting attorneys must include their email address on the notice of appearance form as well in the transmittal letter. the updated notice of appearance form can be accessed at the following web address:
